Why is Nvidia recommeded over AMD GPU's?

Even in the lower-priced categories, a traditional stronghold for AMD, Nvidia's current lineup generally delivers superior performance at equivalent prices.  forpc.onl jiofi.local.html I agree with you. I don’t quite understand how it works, but the performance of video cards with a GeForce chip in...

Well, it definitely won't be with the sound card.  I went into sound settings and found that no input was coming from the mic which is attached to my sound card.  Turns out when "What U Hear" is turned on to record the SE sound track, the mic is automatically turned off.  When I turned th...

Troubleshooting and bug reports - SpaceEngine 0.990

any idea why there are nearly duplicate entries for alpha centauri in 0990 and they are both wrong, both are for single B type blue stars, when in fact A and B are both sun-like.  Proxima Centauri is in there as a single star, by itself, which is also wrong.

It looks like it's near the top of the mountain range which gives you a great view across the full 360 degrees!  It must be great for both meteors and northern lights, and sometimes both simultaneously!

Running SE under Linux (Wine, Mesa, etc)

That sounds interesting!  I have two screens right now but was considering a third screen which I actually have sitting in a closet, still unopened....do the two frames in between the three monitors make it seem like an eyesore? I wonder if the differences of 4K are palpable at common monitor sizes ...

I am making videos of SE using OBS Studio using the original SE sound track, but I also want to be able to do voice overs (as in narrate interesting space facts and trivia over the sound track)....is there any way to do this?  And if so, how?  I have the Audigy RX 7.1 sound card and I've been playi...

Running SE under Linux (Wine, Mesa, etc)

I got SE to run in Steam/Linux.  It's picky about what Proton version is used.  Proton 5.0-10 works. The "ultra" setting at 5760x1080 resolution runs at a steady 60 frame rate.  Nice. sheesh, is that a multimonitor set up and what kind of graphics card? I remember something about your men...

Problems exporting video (codec) important

Hello,  I see you posted this a looong time ago, but I am new here and I'm running into similar problems.  My videos played in VLC media player, but I couldn't edit them in Davinci Resolve. I was able to convert the codec in VLC quite simply. And that solved the corruption error.  Nowadays you can ...

I have the pro version too, I guess I don't have the hang of the capture tool yet so I've been using cubemaps lol.  What is your SE Pro resolution set at and do you use perspective projection or something else?

wow really bad conditions in both India and Brazil and rising rapidly again in the US.  Looks like Bolsonaro handled it badly in Brazil, basically telling people to "quit whining" hopefully he gets voted out in the elections coming up there soon.  India is another nation with an authoritar...

On my trip this weekend I also found this 4 meter block of ice interesting: x.jpg Somewhere inside this block of ice is a stevenson screen, which used to be the official weather station on this mountain.  This site suffers heavily from atmospheric icing.  It's a very windy place with frequent fog a...
