No idea, myself. Never heard of this blue warp before.

I talked to the developer and he told me that creating the blue warp effect simply involves resizing the ship.  So I have to do that in the .sss file (either make it smaller or larger, I'll likely go larger).

Unusual weather

Wat we're about to get an amazing hybrid noreaster tropical or sub tropical event ourselves that the media is not yet paying attention to.  It is supposed to be two events, one is Tuesday night into Wednesday and the other is Friday into Saturday and by the time it's finished, NYC may have 10 inches...

As long as you found something that works for you, that's great. Having options is always nice, as not everybody wants or likes the same things. :) I'm a bit confounded by this blue warp thing, some of the ships have it some don't  I found some extra files in the ships' folders that have them but I...

Intergalactic trip in preparation

Well, now I might need to put the Watcher ship ahead of Prometheus, because the Watcher ship seems to be more stable flying through the atmosphere of a planet.  I tried both over the same planet and even though I fine tuned the main engines and hover engines settings, the Prometheus always seems to ...

Intergalactic trip in preparation

There's a file in the folder of the Prometheus and one of the other ships I downloaded called "blue warp" it makes the images look blue when in warp, I find that useful to see the image blueshifted.  I want to use that with the other ships too, so can I just copy and paste it into their fo...

There's an Enterprise ship on here (I think it's 1701 E) which has engine speed of 1000 km/s which is ridiculous and I could never fly that in the atmosphere of a planet, not that those ships are designed for air flight anyway.  I'll keep these ships at 85 and 8.66 g and just pump up the warp when I...

I recommended editing a camera as an easy way to extract the *.sss file from a zipped archive — get SE to actually do it for you by writing a new file. :) But if you're familiar with extracting files from zipped archives, that is always best, I suppose. If you have the Merlin, by all means, give it...

Well I see all the sss files are in the workshop folder and I didn't have to touch the cameras to see them.  Here's something I saw though.....there's a setting for "Aeromodel" and while all the other ships I just downloaded have it set to "Shuttle" the Prometheus ship I'm curren...

The number of camera's defined per ship has nothing at all to do with flight or other physical characteristics of the ship. Definitions are in the same *.sss file (plain text), but nothing to do with each other. "MainEngines" — maximum acceleration ship is capable of in normal space. &quo...

Warp 15.7 seems to be a nice balance between speed and duration.  Took me 20 minutes to go 6.7 million light years after which the autopilot brought me out of warp and I adjusted my boost exponent to 11.733 for a more leisurely tour through the galaxy. Question regarding main engines....is setting ...
