Work progress - 0.9.8.1

10061 It doesn't necessarily require theses changes at all, stars could just go supernova without any consequence on planets. Temperature and irradiation still are factors to consider, along with the mass loss from the explosion itself.  The orbital velocities of the planets would mean that some pl...

Work progress - 0.9.8.1

I know, but having stars go supernova is going to require fundamental changes to the way Space Engine works. Objects will need to be able to change their types at specific times: stars becoming neutron stars, planets becoming scorched planets and so forth. I think these kinds of changes should prob...

Do you play ships?

Often. I'd probably use them even more often when orbital transfers and slingshots are implemented :)

They are implemented but there is just no assist so they are really difficult to do unless you're able to do the maths.

General suggestions for SpaceEngine

I have a suggestion, something that might have been suggested before but I couldn't find it no matter how deep I searched: Could you add some sort of a molly-guard to "Set Current Time" UI option? I don't know, a confirmation dialog or something? Or just move it somewhere else, so that it...

General questions about SpaceEngine

It could have a similar composition to Earth, with the difference in density being the result of gravitational compression. Density does not directly correlate with composition, you must also take planet mass into account.

I see now, thanks a lot for the answer!

General questions about SpaceEngine

https://img4.hostingpics.net/pics/684846SpaceEngine2017050702594540.png Found this planet recently, almost 13 Earth masses and a diameter of more than 1.7 times the diameter of Earth which means (according to SE) it has a density of 13.478 g/cm 3 , a heck of a lot. Is this even possible? What this ...

General suggestions for SpaceEngine

A few suggestions of features I'd really like to see and which are not very significant changes: -Being able to see the gravity force of a planet on the position you are (like for the atmospheric pressure or the temperature:    http://i.imgur.com/4gkaZSQ.jpg -Possibility of moons having moons since ...

Translators

Could I renew my proposition? I saw Roswell is now in the translator group even though he didn't really ask to be and I'm not quite sure he is be able to do the translation correctly (no offense here, but I'm noting he is doing a lot of mistakes and I remember he wasn't so good at French neither on ...

Totally off-topic thread

Has any of you seen what's happening on SpaceEngine sub on Reddit? I'm pretty sure nothing is gonna be donated but I promotes SpaceEngine in a bad way with the attention it gets.  People even said the site was compromised which led some people to think SpaceEngineer was the OP trying to promote his ...

Intergalactic trip in preparation

Well if that's the case for most of the people on the forum, I guess I'll pick some of my best planets then or some great finds posted here or on Reddit.
I hope I'll get enough time to do it this week-end, though I doubt this will be possible I'll give some news about it soon.
