Can My PC Run SpaceEngine?

Ryan123456789, that computer is just barely good enough to run the program. You can buy the program on Steam, the link is on the homepage.

Troubleshooting and bug reports - SpaceEngine 0.990

You may be able to fix the cursor issue by switching to software cursor rendering in SE: open the console by pressing ` (on the same key as ~ on US keyboards), and type hardwarecursor and press Enter. This will toggle hardware cursor rendering on and off. The disadvantage of using software cursor is...

could something like fog be used to simulate the effect of smaller particles? we don't really need to model every particle down to the centimetre scale (and smaller) here! There already is fog for smaller particles, but you still have to render larger ones (tens of centimeters to meters), and that'...

Sounds like another good reason to keep the rings as thin as possible  (10-20m rather than 100s-1000s of m) No, thin rings are the problem, because then you have to make the particles smaller, which causes the aforementioned precision issues and requires fading out the particle rendering at a close...

How will performance of the rings compare between the latest AMD cards and nvidia ones given the AMD ones have much higher double precision, 1:16 verse 1:64 of the nvidia ones?   Example. 6800XT 1.3 TFLOPs FP64 vs 0.46 TFLOPs FP64 of the 3080.   As he said in the post, the double precision numbers ...

What about a new brand set of emoticons?  :)
I use them a lot and it would be nice to have some more, I found a site with a lot of free ones! https://www.hipsthetic.com/emoji-icon-sets/

I'll change the emotes as soon as I figure out how.

I'm curious of something, we'll be able to see volcanic gases and 3d hurricanes or tornadoes? (Hurricanes that touches the floor) rains, sandstorms, thunders?  I think this is a obvious question tbh Read the second paragraph here: http://forum.spaceengine.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=72 Also, please...

More details on my research can be found here   This site is dead. "Not Acceptable An appropriate representation of the requested resource /research.html could not be found on this server." Did you really post in a 3.5 year old thread about a research project which is almost certainly ove...

Some things can be made in a simple way without being grossly inaccurate. Rings are one of those things. Halos and shadows are not.

Because we had 10 years and that was not enough to make things qualitatively as u see it, so this will be totally fair to say they will never happen if you  keep the same line. On the other side halo and many other things can be done the simple way in a few days. Better we have effects done primiti...

You mean exactly how he cringes looking at water, horizon, purple planets and absence of shadows?

So why would you want to add another thing to that list?

Also there is no physical reason why a planet cannot be purple.

I requested ice halos, I don't know - almost 10 years ago?  Halos could be added as a 2d png texture with small shining effect which is auto-enabled if the camera is 1. In atmosphere and 2. In a low temperature zone. That's all it takes. It's one day of work. And that right there is the difference ...

35868 Doc are there any long term risks with the gpu running over 80C? Shorter lifespan, but this applies to any piece of hardware. whats the threshold for lifespan?  lifespan doesn't shorten if the temps remain below 80 or does it have to be under 70 or something else, Doc? I think for cpu it's un...
