I'm not sure if this is a bug, maybe I just don't understand correctly the meaning of some parameters and this only needs some more precise editing. When I create planetary rings and then try to add moons amongst them, rings are disrupted after the restart. They can be temporarily restored from the ...
I know, unless they mounted a big antenna dish with a good radio transmitter, plus some targeting system and efficient energy source, we wouldn't get any data. It was just a joke, perhaps I'm too enthusiastic now
It's time to move the marker up another point Let's hope it will keep moving.. I'm so optimistic about the future, no matter what happened to the core part... Congrats SpaceX! EDIT: I just read in one discussion that they announced center core was lost. Never mind, still a great success. We'll see ...
It is possible to import data tables for other planes. I can make a function to load them from the file, so aerodynamics model can be customized/modded. If it is not very complicated and you have enough time, please do it. Enabling customizable aerodynamic physics and limitations per ship is a grea...
What does flying around as a ship provide that flying around as a disembodied POV doesn't offer? Flying SE ships is a different experience than just looking around, as Iamjackslameusername wrote. It took me some time to realize that flying in thin atmosphere with very low pressure is totally differ...
there is no way to make a conventional interplanetary trip like creating an orbit and hope to get there Actually, you can do that pretty well in Space Engine, I do it quite often. You can even use gravity assist, atmosphere breaking, orbiter-lander docking etc. However, it is not trivial to get to ...
I don't know if somebody already suggested, would it be possible to add atmospheric friction visual effects for descending ships? Not necessarily matching the ship model shape, just some bright haze appearing when atmosphere is becoming dense could be enough.
ok, I understand. Well, I think I'll wait for version 0.9.9.0 with my experiments. There are so many changes announced that I'm pretty sure current problems will all be obsolete
I've posted about this issue too, so you're not alone. :) http://forum.spaceengine.org/viewtopic.php?t=7&start=705#p16871
Thanx for link, too bad nobody responded to your post so far :( It seems, procedural planets have this issue too, sometimes. (btw,...
