General suggestions for SpaceEngine

Another thing you could add to planets is active weather patterns. You'd be able to see a hurricane develop or see a storm rise and fall, or some kind of "other-worldly" weather pattern.

Something that'd be cool to add is different "lenses" to see the universe, like infrared, radio, xray, gamma ray, etc. Like you'd be able to see the emissions around, say, black holes or other stars, and it'd just be a cool feature to add somewhere down the line

So this isn't a very pressing issue, but I recently upgraded from a GTX 1050 Ti to an RX 580 with a Ryzen 5 2600, and there isn't a performance increase at all. I have no idea where to start but if I could have some suggestions that'd be great. And I would also like to state that on every other game...

 I've been messing with the .sml file for ages but it isn't fixing it.
The file you use is .sss, not .sml. That might be what is causing it. And also make sure that you have your ship placed under SpaceEngine/addons/models/spacecraft (create it if it does not exist)

18000 I think that would be pretty neat to do that or have that option. Like some of the very large stars with astroniki some of the smaller dwarfs nostalgia.. I get what you mean, but remember that SpaceEnigne is still beta, and the procedural star systems are no where near perfect.

I am trying to figure out if it is possible to assign different sprites to different classes of stars to make a mod. Is that possible or am I wasting my time on that one?
I don't really think that's possible, but I may be wrong.

So I'm thinking this might be a bug as the brown dwarf is far too far for light from the binary stars to have a significant if any effect on the brown dwarf and its companions. 
I'm thinking that too, but just to make sure, could you attach your system's .sc file?

Your log has LOTS of warnings and errors about compiling shaders, which means you don't have enough VRAM
