General suggestions for SpaceEngine

If you're standing on the surface of a planet, but you click on the sky so that the planet is no longer selected, you currently can't reselect the planet just by clicking anywhere on the landscape -- you have to point the camera straight down in order to select the center of the planet. And this doe...

Sending locations to others.

No, the Space Engine universe should be identical for all users with stock installations of Space Engine, but locations may change if you install mods.

Space Engine - Solar/Lunar Eclipses

Has anybody observed total solar eclipses on Earth in Space Engine? What I've been trying to do is hover over the specular highlight of the Sun on the Earth, and speed up time until I can see the Moon's shadow. All I've seen so far have been partial eclipses, though. http://i944.photobucket.com/albu...

I would love to see a model of the USS Sulaco from the Alien franchise.  Not sure where you'd find a usable model though.  The ship is in the relatively new Alien Isolation game, so maybe there?   https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/2c/cf/1d/2ccf1df07cfdec370a88913951223a02.png Here is a...

Would it be hard to implement making scripted spacecraft pilotable? It seems like a good feature to have.

When spacecraft are placed into an orbit by a script, will it be possible to pilot the spacecraft out of orbit?

Will this new nebula update be applicable to flat irregular galaxies like the Magellanic Clouds? I would really like to explore the Magellanic Clouds with their real non-flat form. The easiest way to improve the shapes of Magellanic Clouds is to make their textures cubemapped instead of cylindrical...

Can someone remind me why we can't have procedural on custom planet textures like earth or mars? It's a complicated problem. Each pixel of the texture needs to be aware of its neighbors so that they can be interpolated properly. How can you handle the transition between textures at different resolu...

So, alien skies are no so shiny like in movies. No giant moons covering half of the sky, sadly. At least in our Solar system. But have you ever looked at Mars from the surface of Phobos... http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad286/jhfong/SpaceEngine/scr00391_zpseridb86b.jpg~original ...or Jupiter fr...

777471843, Voyager is one of the spacecraft included under Spacecraft > Real in  DoctorOfSpace's Mod Emporium  thread. You'll need to pilot it yourself, because there's currently no way for SE to load SPICE kernels for real trajectories. You can find a lot of information about using SE spacecraft in...

http://forum.spaceengine.org/download/file.php?id=2115 http://forum.spaceengine.org/download/file.php?id=2116 Is this planetary nebula being modeled as a torus seen from above? I would think they're supposed to be spherical bubbles which are opaque at the edges and transparent in the middle, so the...

Gnargenox, in the fourth picture you posted at the top of this page, where did you find a volcano with blue lava? Is the lava ridiculously hot, or is it a cryovolcano on a titan? I don't think SE has cryovolcanoes, but I wish it did.

A Note About Eventual Mac Compatibility

I'm running SpaceEngine on a late 2013 MacBook Pro booting into Windows 8.1, with an NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M. VRAM is 2GB and the display is set to half of the native resolution at 1440x900. SpaceEngine is a little slow loading landscapes, but it works OK for me.
