Rodrigos Terrain & Clouds Mod

SpaceEngineer has said before that he hasn't yet found a solution for making clouds look volumetric up close, while also still looking like planetary clouds from space.

Ideas for mods and fixes in SpaceEngine!

3: The Star Wars catalogs mod: Kamino should not be a terra, it should be an oceania. To respond to your first post, Kamino was shown to have islands in The Essential Atlas,  and as we've discussed in the Star Wars mod thread, Space Engine requires planets with any amount of landmass at all to be c...

I noticed that Wookieepedia's article for  Tion says it orbits "two brilliant cyan stars". Cyan isn't actually a color on the blackbody spectrum, but we can use low-end blue stars. This time, I tried using GlowColor to make Tion's stars actually cyan, but it doesn't make much difference w...

Also I had and still have the problem that the terrain on every planet doesn't load.

Is this happening only on Solar System planets (which is normal) or also on procedural planets? What kind of video card does your computer have?

Alderaan is already an asteroid belt in the current Star Wars addon. If you want the planet version, you'll need to remove StarWars_Core_Alderaan_Alderaan_fragment.sc from the catalogs\planets\ directory inside CatalogsSW.pak. You can view the contents of .pak files by associating the .pak filetype ...

There are some features on Ultima Thule that could be either albedo variations or big chunky craters, but we can't tell until New Horizons transmits higher resolution photos. If they're big craters, the script will need a lower craterFreq and a higher craterMagn.

General questions about SpaceEngine

Propulsion, Some people on YT even managed to combine space engine and outerra with success somehow (all in one)
Dont ask me how though. Never tried it before.

It's video editing. They just crossfade from Outerra to SpaceEngine when they get above the atmosphere.

Set the date to July 28, 2061 if you want to see the next perihelion of Halley's Comet.

I just redefined the surface of Cantonica so that it's a desert terra with one ocean, which canonically is artificial (it's just that every time we saw it in TLJ, the hemisphere with the ocean was at night.) https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/BSkq03l902BO05hovnlHFNVSM8tAol50nY4evn6-lwLT0gfsXx6MrmYG2D...

If we wanted to be more realistic, don't a lot of astrophysical jets expand into a mushroom shape at the end when their particles start to interact with ...

In 0.980, there don't seem to be any nebulae in procedurally generated irregular galaxies, even though you'd expect them to be rich in star-forming regions. Will 0.990 correct that? I also haven't seen any nebulae in elliptical galaxies, but star deaths should still be expected to generate planetary...

Work progress 0.990

SpaceEngineer, I'm glad to hear about the equatorial ridge feature in 0.990, but if we really wanted to recreate the appearance of Iapetus, can we control the color of drivenDarkening and how sharply bounded it is?
