Gameplay concept

Something that I would for sure like to see is something like a line that could be drawn as like a visual distance indicator between planets. Like someway that you could see a blue line for example from Earth to lets say a nebula in our galaxy. I think that would be cool to be right up there with a ...

Help with creating Mods and Addons

I am going to go out on a limb and say this is not possible but thought I might ask anyways, but can you create mods (3D models more preciously for ships) in something like Blender and import that into SE? Or will it only work as a pak file where everything is still based on pics?

In short: it's not a bug. :)

The next update (.9.8.1) cannot come any faster if there is a graphics update.

Troubleshooting and bug reports - SpaceEngine 0.9.8.0

Can somebody explain why planets look like somebody covered the planet in wax and then also why the graphics look like a potato when you zoom in on the planet? To clarify a few things... This is .9.8.0 The Landscape LOD is at 1 The Solar System HD add on is in the add ons folder This is what Pluto l...

General questions about SpaceEngine

1869 Will there be easier mod support as in will there ever be a time when we can just import 3D models of stuff from places like our own creations on Blender That is how it already is for the most part 1869 will we still have to use the folders system where we have to use the .pak files that have ...

General questions about SpaceEngine

2 questions I have 1) Will there be better graphics along the way like at least a little bit more detailed planets (such as a more detailed Mars for example) or is this the best it's going to get and we will have to rely on add ons for any better things like moving water, lava, etc? 2) Will there be...

General suggestions for SpaceEngine

Heath , I'd add that on second thought, my statement that using the mouse is slower is inconsistent, because I took into account an unneeded click. Sleep deprivation is to blame, this time ;) And... Brace yourself... A "Goto" button has been added to the Solar System browser for the next ...

General suggestions for SpaceEngine

Although a completely clickable interface could be maybe useful with certain hardware... That is what I was hoping for is a bit of a cleaner UI with how you get to planets and stars and so forth on the look up guides and stuff. Not sure what kinda cleaner UI but there will probably be somebody with...

General suggestions for SpaceEngine

I just have one small and minor suggestion that is not already in the game, but there needs to be a way that when you are looking at the line up of planets when you click on "Planetary System" to the left, to be able to right click on the planet/moon/etc you are wanting to go go and click ...

COMMUNITY ADDON - Object Descriptions

One-liners should be the last, if covered at all. Then again, for many asteroids there many papers publicly available mentioning some of their characteristics, that are "hardcore" science and difficult to synthesize in a wiki page. The part about there being hardcore evidence for them is ...

COMMUNITY ADDON - Object Descriptions

The hardest amount of info is for asteroids. Most information that I drag up on some of these asteroids only are like one or two sentences like "It exists" and that is all. For example, asteroid 334 Chicago literally only has one sentence about it on Wikipedia and everything else that I fi...
