14860 SE is 32bit app and can not use more than 4 gigs of RAM so you are OK. I regularly have SE using upwards of 8GBs of VRAM, so as SpaceEngineer said those RAM limits do not apply. VRAM and RAM are independet. SE can use any amount of VRAM, because it is governed by video driver. gamadh:I'm worr...

Retro-Visor's Planetary Systems

There are some other minor issues but these are easily fixed: ConsoleMessage.png I just copy-pasted the randomly generated values in the corresponding catalog\star\*.sc files so the console message disappear. I don't know if these are the intended locations of these systems in the galaxy though. Fur...

I'm worried about my computer, I have a memory of 8 gb ram and a video card of 650 GTX, is that enough for the new texture system? If it is the standard configuration with 1GB VRAM than I think you are right to be worried. But if it is a 2GB configuration, you should be OK at least for LODs<0. As f...

Retro-Visor's Planetary Systems

I have made the first four addons of tRetro-Visor compatible with SE 0.980. (TTA-17, JAMES-X1, CYPHON and Proxima b). I have packed them together in one .pak file. It's easy. Only the expression ' Precession 0 ' needs to be removed from the files. tRetro-Visor-Systems-0980.pak JackDole Thank You!

not 0.9.8.0e (the patch released a few months ago) These systems only work with that version Hi, would it be too hard to make your addons compatible with 0980? So you don’t quote the good people because is tRetro-Visor said the sentence, otherwise I don’t know how to convert from 0.9.8.0e to 0.9.8....

A very PC discussion

After a not so trouble-free upgrade experience my new PC is up and running (smoothly atm - fingers crossed). SE also runs smoothly and I did notice a small but noticeable performance increase. One thing I am puzzled about is the usable memory reported by the OS: http://i.imgur.com/dbaOMd9.jpg Should...

14099 So is this new chemical model taking into account this issue? or at least reduces the intensity of it? This is not related to chemistry, it's a simple physics. SE calculates height of the atmosphere using something similar to the barometric formula. It was in 0.980 and earlier, since the begi...

Continuing work on planet atmosphere and hydrosphere chemistry: http://spaceengine.org/news/blog170926/ Oh my God! This is so much work! Space Engineer you have opened the Pandora's box! Thank You people! I am still waiting for the components to arrive. I am really anxious to see how SE will run on this machine... Ah one final question: I am using re-shade 1.1 which I find really stable with SE & my current win7(x64) setup. I had issues running newer reshade versions under win7....

Recent weeks I had work on a planetary chemistry. It is updated atmosphere composition code - I should call it the planetary chemical composition code now. Because it computes not only the atmosphere, but the seas/oceans and frozen ices. It performs iteration of the global climate conditions on the...
