A very PC discussion

Thank You people! I am still waiting for the components to arrive. I am really anxious to see how SE will run on this machine... Ah one final question: I am using re-shade 1.1 which I find really stable with SE & my current win7(x64) setup. I had issues running newer reshade versions under win7....

Work progress - 0.9.8.1

Recent weeks I had work on a planetary chemistry. It is updated atmosphere composition code - I should call it the planetary chemical composition code now. Because it computes not only the atmosphere, but the seas/oceans and frozen ices. It performs iteration of the global climate conditions on the...

SE consuming 3gigs(25%) of main RAM and 8 gigs (100%) of VRAM: http://i.imgur.com/JiFBb2X.jpg CPU utilization is a mere 8%. I am quite happy with my 7-year old PC: http://i.imgur.com/rQ3XSMH.jpg I only fear the day my motherboard will die. So I am saving for an upgrade: CPU: i7-7820X Motherboard: MS...

Ship Warp shader Modification

Hi. My question is a bit out of topic, but it's close. What is the name of "motion" shader which shows stretched particles when you fly very fast?  And how can I find it. Thanks. If you mean this: tit4Gus8dz0 I don't know. If you mean the ship warp efect: Ph4GlrsijDk Then the shader is ca...

Unusual weather

Yep, they're known as the Hurricane hunters, and they have been flying into hurricanes for 74 years, and not without incident.  Five hurricane hunter flights never made it back.  This memoir by Jeff Masters of his nearly disastrous flight with the hunters into Hurricane Hugo is a must read. You can...

Troubleshooting and bug reports - SpaceEngine 0.9.8.0

Updating to the latest Nvidia drivers doesn't solve the gravitational lensing bug. I have downgraded to SE 0980. Works flawlessly with Nvidia latest drivers. Are there any exoplanets or any other features in 0980e that aren't in 0980 besides the correct modeling of solar system eclipses? Well if th...

Are you having the same problem as me with earth textures- lack of clouds, water ripples and shimmering effects are gone and even some add-on exoplanets no longer have atmospheres.  Procedural planets are fine. No. It is just the surface(+atmosphere?) textures. They become deep blue retangles/tiles...

Your choice. Latest Nvidia drivers for your card are 385.41 (2017.8.24) FYI issue occurs with this version also: http://i.imgur.com/ntLnHIG.jpg Driver was clean installed using display driver uninstaller latest version and additional registry cleaning with ccleaner. SE cache folder was also deleted...

N0B0DY , try updating your NVidia drivers. Nope . Well I don't think it is going to solve it anyway. I found something interesting though: When I have a ship (which I made with the latest version of the ship editor) spawned near earth, and I am close to the ship so that it renders as full 3d model ...

Open the avatar.sc file, and change parent object from "polyphemus" to "coeus", the planet's other name. Thats what I did, and it worked. :)

And that's exactly what I did PlutonianEmpire :). I posted a link with the corrected .pak (All credit goes to DoctorOfSpace of Course ;) )
