General 0.9.9.0 Discussion

For all of us (myself included) who are impatient about the new release bear in mind that A) Space Engine has probably reached a point that it has become too complex to develop at the same pace as it was developed in the past. B) Other projects (that although can not be directly compared with SE) ar...

PlutonianEmpire's Imperial Addon Archives

Oh stupid me.. If it was that easy you would have done it 1st. I thought that I could change (reduce) the coverage for all procedural planets. :( . Never mind.

PlutonianEmpire's Imperial Addon Archives

Beware! This mod WILL exponentially increase cloud coverage on all planets that have more than one cloud layer, due to a limitation of the shaders that I unfortunately *could not overcome* . If this impacts your custom planets negatively enough, I highly recommend adding an extra "0" imme...

Troubleshooting and bug reports - SpaceEngine 0.9.8.0

I do as well as my 4GB 980 seems to run out in many applications including SE. It's a pitty that NVidia decided to equip the standard 980s with "only" 4GBs of VRAM. Only 1GB more than the previous generation i.e 33% increase. So they learned from their mistakes and fitted 100% more VRAM o...

General questions about SpaceEngine

Whilst controlling a spacecraft and after selecting a target, is it possible to reset target to none somehow? Thanks in advance for any suggestion.

Work progress 0.9.8.1 = 0.9.9.0

I think something similar (although not exactly what you are asking) is planed for the future:

I am not a moderator but that is what I have come to understand from people's reactions in previous occasions. No one is making a big fuss about this except those who misinterpret posts..

General questions about SpaceEngine

JackDole ,Thank You! Nebulax , this question always recieves the same answer: It will be released when it is ready. I know exactly how you feel. I am impatient myself but keep asking this question too many times and you will be rebuked by the moderator(s). Also it will not cost any money but donati...

General questions about SpaceEngine

Is it possible to set a specific FOV value from within SE using a console command? I tried: "set fov = xx" "set fov=xx" and various other combinations but command is not recognized :( .

Well I don't know - I haven't done that much research as you. Thanks for the info anyway. All I know is that I only play space-related games. At the moment only two: SE and Elite:Dangerous. Both have recommended hardware specs far lower than my current rig so I am happy and pretty confident that I w...

Vlad01 is correct: the whole 10 series is indeed dated based on the fact that is has been around much longer compared to the previous generations. I was looking for a chart at NVidia's site to show this but can't find it atm . I found it! There you can see that from years 2010 until 2014 we ...

A very PC discussion

I just purchased a gtx 1080ti and I am stunned by its performance: at 16x MSAA , FXAA and all settings maxed out (more or less) I get avg ~ 60fps with [email protected] and ~ 70fps when Vsync is off @ 5760 x 1080p resolutions(3 displays): http://i.imgur.com/5FiOW0i.jpg This concludes my PC build.
