SpaceEngine 0.990 Release

According to control settings engines throttle is set to +/- and Numpad+/Numpad-. Nothing in "mouse" column, but I still can throttle up/down by scrolling mouse wheel. :( It's very unintuitive to me, I keep ruining my orbits trying to zoom at/out of my ship.

SpaceEngine 0.990 Release

[post]29717[/post] I was under impression we're getting spaceships as they were shown in pre-release streams, but it's fine.
There are spacecraft, go to flight simulator mode, open the ships manager, and spawn one.
You're rig...

SpaceEngine 0.990 Release

I think asteroids collision boxes are broken, couldn't touch the ground in most places. Sometimes textures don't finish loading and I end up with a low quality square on the ground close to me. I was under impression we're getting spaceships as they were shown in pre-release streams, but it's fine. ...

Physical simulation of the space engine
Cool, thats much better. Is there a FOV that shows actual scale? Meaning if I was far enough away from Mercury in real life to appear a certain size to me, the Sun would be accurately be shown in size and scale as well?
I think that would be FOV of 0. ;) That's beca...
I am atheist :)
Well I'm gonna take my chances and bet that most of us here respect science enough to celebrate Christmas only as the family time! ;) I hope you charged your batteries to finalize things with steam release, cause I'm dying here, checking the w...

General 0.990 Discussion

[post]25671[/post] Aaaand there's the fact that no DRM is uncrackable.
Houses get broken into all the time and stuff gets stolen. Does that mean we shouldn't take precautions and lock our doors at night, or set...

General 0.990 Discussion

[post]25508[/post] Why exactly would non-steam releases require DRM protection? Some obscure copyright law that everybody hates?
I'm curious, how many copies of the program do you think will be sold if there is no copy protection? ...

Work progress 0.9.9.0
I am not sure I can do the same inside steam subfolders without breaking steam app and possibly other steam games. Or maybe I can but I would prefer more installation freedom - maybe it is possible to install in any folder even via steam - any advice / opinion is appreciate...

Global list of suggestions

That will be an offtopic. Since the forum would be obviously swarmed with people writing new threads, as there's like 2 new posts on forums all day, apparently a "create thread" option is locked for me until I spam enough. :) So:  What's going on with in-game Wiki? Only General tab works, ...

Work progress - 0.9.8.1

13534 Maybe better to delay galaxies for the next version Maybe this will sound a bit cynical, but games with frequent update cycles generally get more attention than games that update very rarely (unless they are big AAA releases, which is not our case). So yeah, releasing a more frequent stream o...
