What exoplanet might reply us back?

So.. we have sent radio messages to Gliese 273 b and the Gliese 581 system, where planet 'g' hasn't been confirmed yet but it is potentially habitable.  Which of these exoplanets, if any, do you think might reply us back?  Put in other words, which of these exoplanets do you think it might have inte...

TESS: the space telescope that will find nearby Earth-like planets

As I did not see any post on TESS in the whole forum, I created this one to talk about it. The launch will be on Monday at 6:32 PM EST time. I read in the website that 'science operation will begin at the start of June, with the first data reaching the archive at the beginning of December'....

What do you think about the EM drive?

Last year China claimed that they had built an EM drive.   The Chinese Space Agency released a video (this one:  https://www.youtube....eature=youtu.be ), but they don't go into detail.   What do you think about it? Do you think they are just achieving insignificant amounts of thrust?  ...

What do you think about the super flare of the star Proxima Centauri?

good points, indeed active flare stars are a problem, but i think that if proxima b had a magnetic field stronger than earth, those flares wouldn't be much of a problem

What do you think about the super flare of the star Proxima Centauri?

Hi guys, I hope you are doing well So.. the other day I read that Proxima Centauri released a huge flare last year, decreasing the chances of existing life in Proxima b   What do you think about it? I also read that the flare lasted 2 minutes.. what if the flare happened in the part of the star tha...

NEW: Earth-like exoplanet found orbiting the star Ross 128

Hi guys! exciting news, probably the most important discovery of the year  A stronomers from the European Southern Observatory have found the second potentially habitable exoplanet closest to Earth, located at only 11 light years away. I made an analysis on it: https://youtu.be/QkRgGRHA4ao?list=PL3R...

How do you think we can get to Proxima b?

Soo.. the other day I read that the Alpha Centauri system might have several exoplanets apart from Proxima b.. so I looked for info about the Starshot project and found out that the team launched in July a 3.5 x 3.5cm satellite weighing 4 grams.. this encourages me to believe that the project can a...

alfa015, if you're in tracking mode, you can still use the middle mouse button (Scroll Wheel Button) to change your view

Perspective view while orbiting?

There should be a bar with a row of icons on the lower-left corner. If it is not there, hover the cursor near it to make it pop out. Make sure the following icon is not highlighted. If it is, click on it to turn Target Tracking off. BLANK.png thank you for your answer but that's the exact mode i wa...

Definitely interesting, but I would not call it a "video game"...

EVE Online is a videogame, specifically a well-known sci-fi MMORPG. This seems to be just a little part that basically amounts to a minigame.
