HarbingerDawn's 0.9.9.0 Streams

On Russian forum everything is a lot more sad... Everyone are just like "Okay, we knew it". I even had to upload some screenshots of strange ice giants possessing a krypton (Kr) atmosphere to show that 980 still can make your mind blow. I think we'd like to see that here, too. At least I ...

Troubleshooting and bug reports - SpaceEngine 0.9.8.0

Hello, I reinstalled Space Engine today after a long while and tried to fly with a spaceship (I was somewhat close to Earth). I tried the numeric controls for orientation: 5 for prograde, 6 for retrograde etc... and they all worked fine except for 0, which, instead of orienting the ship, enables sy...

28795 Wow thanks those are amazing!  And so is the one from the earthlike planet you posted with the ship in orbit, which one was that? The "Standard orbit, Mr. Sulu" one?  That one was from just about two years ago, and just before I started to name interesting worlds. Don't think I coul...

Abner those are beautiful!  If you have time please share the locations for the first three images :) Hi A-L-E-X, believe it or not, I found the first one, and even the same (or very close to it) locale. New pics with address information attached. You can see the outline of the distant mountains an...

Abner those are beautiful!  If you have time please share the locations for the first three images :) Why, thank you, my good man. Sadly, it's not a matter of time (I have lots of that these days), but some of these were taken quite some time ago, and I don't know if I can find the information of w...

General questions about SpaceEngine

28738 Objects are lit by up to the four brightest light sources within the same system hierarchy, be they stars, planets, or moons. Bright nearby stars, nebulae, clusters, etc. do not currently contribute to object lighting. Such things are planned though. I thought I read somewhere that it was eig...

General questions about SpaceEngine

Question, will depicting Rey's version of the constellations be offered?  When I was in 3rd grade the first astronomy book I ever read was H.A. Rey's Constellations A New Way to See Them and I found his rendition of constellations far more preferrable over the conventional rendition.  H. A. Rey rea...

Always worth remembering: Whenever you make hardware changes, particularly a graphics card, you should always delete the SpaceEngine\cache folder before restarting SE.

I'm not Watsisname (by a long shot!), but I'll try and answer anyway... Unfortunately, SE does not do terrain or ship shadows yet. But planets, moons, and asteroids do cast shadows (although even potato-shaped asteroids and dwarf moons cast round shadows, no matter the shape of the object). So the b...

Troubleshooting and bug reports - SpaceEngine 0.9.8.0

Can anyone tell me why that when the game crashes, all of my ships that WERE in stable orbits and ships DOCKED with said ships in orbit are suddenly no longer docked, and the orbiting ships are hundreds of thousands of kilometers away?  Super frustrating to have to re-do all of my orbits and docked...

Thanks for the graphs!  I've always wondered what shadows would look like in multiple star systems- especially with different colored stars!
