General suggestions for SpaceEngine

How about making the "horizon" autopilot function for ships a toggle. Meaning that when on, you will fly "belly-down", but can can still use the prograde, retrograde, etc., orientations.

Help with creating Mods and Addons

I am going to go out on a limb and say this is not possible but thought I might ask anyways, but can you create mods (3D models more preciously for ships) in something like Blender and import that into SE? Or will it only work as a pak file where everything is still based on pics? Start here: http:...

13556 Also, had Cassini been launched in this era instead of 20 years ago, would they have used solar sails instead of Plutonium? When you say "solar sails" do you mean as in using the solar wind for propulsion? Or do you mean solar panels to generate electricity? Because — either way, ac...

Patch 0.9.8.0e

Hey A-L-E-X, I'm not sure any of these issues are 0.9.8.0e patch related, so we should probably take this to a "Troubleshooting and Solutions" thread.

Do you want to start a thread or should I? ("A-L-E-X & Alex's I'll-get-the-hang-of-this-thing-yet-and-everthing thread") ;)

He didn't create the orbital 3D path, but synchronized photos with time and emotional music makes it an awesome video. I almost had tears. fnVxAIid73s Do you think we'll have some data from the interior of the atmosphere, or the probe wouldn't have enough time to send it to earth? I'm no rocket sci...

Patch 0.9.8.0e

Good to see you're getting the hang of it. :) 13462 how do you do 5 minute videos on here without using a ton of drive space and getting compression artifacts? You and me both would like to know the answer to that one. I have the same issue with videos in that respect, particularly without any dedic...

Patch 0.9.8.0e

12854 Followed on the ship? I'm not sure!  The other thing I was wondering about is how do you "lock on" an object.  Like let's say I am viewing an eclipse at a narrow FOV, and the sun and moon drift out of the field of view is there a way to keep them centered throughout the event? Follo...

Yeah, what he said. ^ In "aircraft" mode, if you start moving forward, you will change direction when you rotate (you will still be moving forward relative to your point of view). In "spacecraft" mode, if you start moving then you will keep moving in that same direction when you ...

I'm starting to see a lot of noise in your recent pics when zoomed in to full resolution. Is that a result of some post processing or some new compression artifacts I haven't seen before? They still look beautiful, though. Tbh i don't really know, it could be my potato computer or compression artif...
