Science and Astronomy Questions

No, instead it would get further away faster!
Since there is a bigger difference between the rotation of Earth and the rotation of the Moon around Earth, friction will also be increasing thus the effect that is making the moon get further would be increased.

Wow.
I really wish I had darker skies.

Same, I live right in the middle of most polluted sky area of Italy. Luckily there are a few mountains around and there the sky is acceptable, but not enough for seeing the Milky Way though.

I'll give you a tip: 57005 is a "dead" number.
Now I think it's easy.

A very PC discussion

Something like that is absolutely not an option for SE unless you want 25 fps at 720p on a 1080 Ti. Yeah, I pretty much agree. Unreal Engine provides very realistic graphics even not implementing ray-tracing (you can use it in the last versions but only if you have a compatible GPU), so it's not co...

Troubleshooting and bug reports - SpaceEngine 0.9.8.0

To me looks like an hard-drive problem, but your computer seems quite recent. Also you said you tried both drives.
Are those partition of the same HDD? Did you tried installing it on a pen drive or an external memory? (I never tried so I'm not sure if it works!)

Science and Astronomy Questions

The question is, which of these situations would you prefer to live in? Blue or red. Blue or red pill, if you will. I think the best stellar classes for habitable planets are G and K. I can't tell which one of those is the best. The Sun releases a fairly high amount of UV radiation and, if wasn't f...

After a few years, I made a return visit to this nearby fossil location and came across this treasure.  Huge boulder totally covered with fossilized palm fronds (Eocene Epoch, 55-45 Mya subtropical floodplain).  Geology pick for scale. Amazing   I love fossils, I don't have photos of...

Has anybody seen this planet?

Anyway, there is a menu called "Journey log" that keeps tracking of the last planets you visited. If you visit a planet recently and you misclick or you loose the planet, you can always try to check that out  :)
