Troubleshooting and bug reports - SpaceEngine 0.9.8.0

On some planets (most often around the poles of oceanias) there appears to be about two kilometers of ocean next the shoreline that doesn't exist. At about a kilometer away, it retreats and shows that there had been land there the whole time. Sometimes there are even pools or lakes that disappear. M...

General questions about SpaceEngine

Ohh I was waiting for someone to make a planet add on for Antares (an orange star with a blue companion) to see something like this- THANKS! Heh, the irony is, I was actually searching for (and failing to find) a system like that, and somehow accidentally clicked on a random star and then the 'go t...

Science and Astronomy Questions

Found a planet in SE that has an atmosphere of 74% oxygen, 24% carbon dioxide, and nearly one percent methane. Would the whole atmosphere explode or something if I opened a lighter on the surface? I mean, that just doesn't look sustainable to me. Whats the color of the sky in day time? Basically th...

General questions about SpaceEngine

A planet between an orange and a blue star?  Can you show me an example of this (sounds like a binary system), I haven't found a planet in a system of that nature. RS 8474-3177-3-79-649 A9, an oceania planet. Move time until it comes between the stars. You can see two differently colored days right...

Work progress 0.990

How does the lighting work in SE? Most of what I've seen seems pretty well done (e.g. a planet between an orange and blue star correctly turns orange-hued and blue-hued on either side), but I'm wondering what other things are taken into account. Can stars outside the solar system have an effect? I m...

Ringworlds?

Is it theoretically possible for SE to have ringworlds or Dyson Spheres? Probably would be a mother to load them, but being able to explore a real-size ringworld even on low quality/LOD would be amazing. Here's what I'm talking about: sR2296df-bc I personally wouldn't care about any sort of design r...

Unusual weather

Well, it's cold even here in Israel, but there is some pleasant rain (I live in the desert).

Work progress 0.9.8.1 = 0.9.9.0

So there's going to be walking around? Just how interactive will this be?

I am also glad that the project is finally getting some recognition. 8-)

Troubleshooting and bug reports - SpaceEngine 0.9.8.0

The planet shown here (at 1:30) seems to have the same empty seas I complained about earlier:

It's in the 9.9.0 beta, actually, but I was disappointed that this hasn't been fixed. Or am I mistaken? Are those blotches supposed to be some other phenomenon?

If you're referring to this, that's simply not yet beta testing material. Please, no Conspiracies around here lol

Cool, thanks.

Troubleshooting and bug reports - SpaceEngine 0.9.8.0

Keep it civil guys, pretty please... I assure you I have no other intentions in mind. I was trying to help, but I confess I appear to be confused about what the original problem was. Here's what I was thinking, I suppose: When he mentioned basins that appear in seas, I was thinking of the darker bl...

Troubleshooting and bug reports - SpaceEngine 0.9.8.0

I am denying that the atmosphere is producing the terrain effect, not that the moon has an atmosphere. Yes, I know.  Does this sea fade away as you approach it? Or just instantly disappear? Again, show us some pics of the phenomenon. What are you talking about? There's no sea, just discolorations t...
