Science and Astronomy Questions

33973 but the opening as of now for non-exotic matter traversable wormholes, only seems to be 30% wider than the planck length. This might still be useful, if we can work on it. 30% larger than the plank length is really small and probably isn't useful but if we can find a way to use preexisting wo...

Troubleshooting and bug reports - SpaceEngine 0.990

I'm having trouble with fullscreen - whenever I go into fullscreen, I no longer have a cursor, making it very hard to navigate menus while in fullscreen. My resolution is 1920x1080 so that shouldn't be causing me any issues. This also has been happening in the game Avorion, but not any other game I ...

Universe Sandbox 2 to Space Engine File Conversion (Suggestion)

SE is far more complete than US2.... I tried US2 and it seems boring in comparison to SE. Boring isn't a factor when it comes to how complete a game is. Agreed. What one considers boring another may not and so really can't be considered for that. I have over 2,000 hours in US2, so obviously I don't...

General suggestions for SpaceEngine

Speaking of copy+paste, I think it'd be best to just allow any parameter of a body to be copied, like they were suggesting about the names. I'd definitely have uses for that.

Universe Sandbox 2 to Space Engine File Conversion (Suggestion)

I'd really like to see this come to fruition somehow. Seeing the planets I make in US2 in the context of a full universe like SE would be amazing. I actually did this at one point, but there was no automation involved...just human elbow grease, haha. I figured such a problem as this formatting diffe...

General suggestions for SpaceEngine

Like how we have the choice of other units, could we have an option for Degrees/Minutes/Seconds <-> Decimal Degrees <-> Radians (maybe?) labeled "Angles" or something like that?

Using MIDI for Controls

Is there some way that I can use the keys on my MIDI controller keyboard as secondary controls to the normal keyboard controls, so that, say, I can use a certain key for W, another for S, and so on? I'd find it pretty cool if you could have velocity of the keys set up to give the speed you move at f...

Quick Question about Realism

I have a quick question about realism: Is reality realistic? Our knowledge of the universe is always growing, so no. Because what we consider "realistic" isn't always what reality is.  But in the sense that due to definitions, you also could say that it is, because "realistic" m...

Your SpaceEngine Videos

Here's a video I did awhile back...not the best, especially compared to, well, everyone else's videos, but eh, its my first attempt at a video like this.

General 0.9.9.0 Discussion

I know that there had been a small group of testers who got to test out Space Engine on STEAM. I'm not one of them to my great disappointment. Any plans for 0.9.9.0 to see a larger release and perhaps some sort of STEAM Early Access or will it still be closed on STEAM? Not everyone gets Beta/Early ...

Science and Astronomy Questions

Wasn't sure if it would be best to post this here or make a new thread or if its even the proper forum to put this in (not even to mention thread) but are there any sites or software by which I can find the characteristics of compounds and mixtures and the such by giving, say, a formula, and vice ve...

Video settings and recording

What program should I use to stitch together a video I recorded as frames? Every AVI I've recorded has been all messed up and won't play properly (I'm assuming it probably was that they were over 4GB or I somehow messed up the codec since I don't know what I'm doing) and I want to put together longe...

Science and Astronomy Questions

Could someone show the formula for the maximum height of mountains on a planet with, I'm guessing, some variables related to density, possibly rotational period, etc...I've seen it talked about either on here or on the old forum at some point so I knew I could come here to ask but I want to make som...
