We can always make addons to upscale certain parts of Earth such as the Grand Canyon mod and the recent Hawaiian Islands mod (plus Gale Crater for Mars and Apollo 11 Landing Site for Moon)

Will Earth still have the regular flat, low-res, kinda ugly textured clouds or will it switch to the new volumetric system? Also do you know if gas giants will have volumetric clouds?

Looks nice, maybe tone down the contrast on the light and dark bands in the first one as Neptune's bands are less visible in the Voyager 2 images and even the Hubble image.

Yes, but exoplanets use procedurally generated terrain with a set palette. For example, if you're on a planet with mainly green grass, it may be impossible to find any blue foliage. Earth however uses a texture map with a palette defined by said texture map, so it's a lot easier to find colour oddit...

Anthony96, right now the accretion disks are just flat planes with 0 depth. It looks fine, but in my opinion, it could be more visually interesting (and possibly more realistic).
