Totally off-topic thread

I would say the 'Strange walking ape with sticks' will lose anyway.

The only question is whether, after the departure of the 'ape', enough of the rest of the earth's ecosystem is left, so that life can recover.

COMMUNITY ADDON - Double/Multiple Asteroids fixes for SE

N0B0DY,
the warnings likely come from your addon shaders.
They are probably not fully compatible with the current version of SpaceEngine.

COMMUNITY ADDON - Double/Multiple Asteroids fixes for SE

N0B0DY , you have several warnings about some shaders in your log file. Either something is wrong with your SpaceEngine installation, or you have problems with your graphics card driver. Maybe you should try it with another driver version. Or you need to reinstall SpaceEngine. Or you leave it as it...

Help with creating Mods and Addons

Roswell,
You can put this at the beginning of your planet script:
Remove  "TRAPPIST-1 b" {ParentBody "TRAPPIST-1"}
Remove  "TRAPPIST-1 c" {ParentBody "TRAPPIST-1"}
Remove  "TRAPPIST-1 d" {ParentBody "TRAPPIST-1"}

General suggestions for SpaceEngine

A-L-E-X,
I had posted here a version of 'KIC 8462852': JackDole: Mega structures ...
However, it does not work properly because it was made for an older version of SpaceEngine. I can not update it at the moment.
If you want to experiment with it, you can download the file 'KIC8462852.zip'.

General suggestions for SpaceEngine

Hornblower,
I doubt that there is such a thing as cluster consisting only of brown dwarfs.
I can be wrong, of course.

The 'Orion Nebula Cluster' in any case is not made of brown dwarfs.
According to Simbad.

Qr Bbpost  I can see that the central black hole is not in the center of the galaxy.

This is because the coordinates become inaccurate on very large distances. Therefore, the 'Central Black Holes' are not exactly centered when they are defined by a catalog entry.

Troubleshooting and bug reports - SpaceEngine 0.9.8.0

pzampella,
if you are looking for 'APM 08279 + 5255 Central Black Hole' in the object finder, you can go to the Central Black Hole. It is not procedural. All other objects (stars, planets, clusters, etc.) are procedural, and therefore not visible when you disable procedural objects.

A-L-E-X,
Planets with numbers as names are procedural.
Real exoplanets have letters, such as b, c, d, etc.

And apparently procedural planets are also displayed in the system browser when they are disabled.

General suggestions for SpaceEngine

4539 I turned off all procedural objects to see how the program would look and then I went to a globular cluster M13 and all I saw was a dark field. All objects in M 13 are produced procedurally. If you disable procedural objects, M 13 is, of course, invisible. 4539 The other thing is with procedur...

Qr Bbpost  If it is wanted I can send the Tycho Catalog

As far as I know, the Tycho catalog does not contain any distance information. So is completely useless for SpaceEngine.
