Work progress 0.9.8.1 = 0.9.9.0

Woah! Nice! :D

Beautful work!

Fixed a dark spot bug in the atmosphere in center of a day hemisphere of a planet

Wait what? I honestly thought it had been fixed already, lol. I couldn't see any opacity spots at all in 0.980 :O

Darwin IV loads good in my clean install of SE 0.98. So definitely a conflict somewhere

20214 Ok I went ahead and made the SE logs with Level 4 set. You can try that too with Darwin IV. Remove these addons: CyphonSystem.pak FantatusSystem.pak JamesX1System.pak TTA 17 System.pak Ventra-5System.pak I suspect it's an Intel specific problem. Because on my old computer with Intel graphics ...

Actually, now that I think about it, that might be a good source for photoshop projects, such as one set of pics on a planet, and another set of pics in the "clouds" nebula, and boom. Beautiful new vistas! :D

Retro-Visor's Planetary Systems

Ja works in 0.980_e now.

For 0.980 plain, Removing all listed systems except the 'tRetro-Visor-Systems-0980.pak' seems to have fixed it.

Thanks :)

20188 SE.log is useless in this situation, it refuses to reveal what the conflict is *at all*. Your se.log may provide more information by setting ' CatalogLogLevel ' to ' 4 ' in the main-user.cfg file. In the section ' Log '. If it is not already on '4'. I can also not retrace this bug. For me, 't...

20189 Ok, I tried this in both 0.980 and 0.980e. No luck. Okay, I now know what caused the crash at SE 0.990. There are too many objects for SpaceEngine with the comets. SpaceEngine can apparently process only a limited number of self-defined objects, such as planets, asteroids, and comets. I have ...

Qr Bbpost Darwin IV gives me a crash on SE startup.

You could remove the script with the comets from the directory. This script is the cause of the crash of SE 0.990. I have no idea yet why.

Ok, I tried this in both 0.980 and 0.980e. No luck.

Retro-Visor's Planetary Systems

One of my custom planets is causing a huge conflict with "tRetro-Visor-Systems-0980.pak", and causing SE to crash on start up, with the crash occurring at Initializing Planets - Planets Hierarchy. I've done whatever I can think of to fix my planet, but alas, no luck. SE.log is useless in t...

Help with creating Mods and Addons

The main visual problem with this is that bases looks like coming from a game from 90’s.

Microsoft Space Simulator! Ahh the nostalgia! :D

Science and Astronomy Questions

Here's a fun, if not morbid question, inspired by elsewhere here on the forum. If Space Engine showed the universe the way we perceive it, then galaxies and nebulae would look dim, desaturated, and boring. You would also be blind before you could see the details in the surfaces of hot stars, or in t...

the worst thing that has ever happened to you

Spent 10 years in a very nasty, abusive group home. That's been the vast majority of my adult life, after getting kicked out of my parent's place. The staff were narcissistic and emotionally and psychologically abusive. I only finally got out last year. Sadly, this ties with another equally bad even...

Rodrigos Terrain & Clouds Mod

Or maybe the "float height" parameter in the 'tg_clouds_height' file. Ja, that is what I had been assuming would manipulate the thickness (bumpHeight) of the clouds without actually affecting the area size (coverage) of the clouds. I tried several variations inside the actual brackets as ...
