Density of Planemos

I have a question - insofar as planemos are concerned, real estimates of their density varies A LOT. There are estimates ranging from 1 trillion to 100 quadrillion planemos in The Milky Way. So what does Space Engine make of their density? How many are there, more or less, in a galaxy like the Milky...

Planets with potentially breathable atmospheres

Yeah, sad thing that. It's at least 10 times too high. I recorded this video a few weeks back though, so just went ahead with it. I like especially that it's got a perfect day length and a good temperature too, something which too many of the borderline-breathable planets out there lack... The only...

Planets with potentially breathable atmospheres

So I uploaded a video on Terra 2, seeing as it's quite a nicely balanced planet. It's still slightly uninhabitable afaik, from what you guys have said, but hopefully it's not too far off :) ADUZ2zj4_4g Perhaps I will make some follow up videos on the other very suitable terra you guys have found (wi...

Yeah, I tried it again - still doesn't work for the ISD-II. Weird. I edited the thruster value on the Millennium Falcon and it worked first time... I did change the retrothruster value as well, and that worked as well as the corrective thrusters. But the forward thrusters remain capable only of a 5....

9185 However, I would like to know the difference (if any) between "CorrEngines" and "TurnEngines". Is this just a difference between rotation and lateral movement? One would assume that the same thrusters are being used to perform both jobs, just in different combinations. And ...

Presumably it is now closed? Whenever I click links to the old forum, it takes me to the new main page.

Planets with potentially breathable atmospheres

Ok, sorry for multipost, but based on the info about atmospheric pressures, I may have just found a very nice planet. It's not as "Earth Similar" as Terra 2 above, but it's got some of the best views in the Galaxy. scr00472.jpg scr00475.jpg scr00476.jpg Note good O 2  (nearly 0.2), safe CO...

Planets with potentially breathable atmospheres

Everest?  scr00438.jpg scr00457.jpg scr00451.jpg Never heard of her. 8710 One question: What is the minimum atm of O2 ? And how about the maximum level of CH4? Watsisname mentioned above - 0.1 to 0.6 atm :) What about N 2 ? Is there a min/max concentration or is it not necessary? Out of 100 earth-es...

Planets with potentially breathable atmospheres

That is a shame! 8513 Yeah, either gas at those concentrations leads to a very unpleasant death within minutes. I was working under the (I guess false) impression that since we breathe oxygen, it can only be a good thing even in high concentrations. Well so much for that. Us damned unflexible humans...

Solaris: 7933 \o/ Yeah, those are truly amazing. Well done. Those little white specs and whisps though... They almost look like clouds, is that what they are? Clouds above larger clouds... I guess it is possible, right? I've been doing some Star Wars math and art lately, looking to start doing some...

Planets with potentially breathable atmospheres

The search continues. Here is my dossier of potentially breathable exoterras. Of about 2 dozen otherwise habitable planets except for levels of CO 2  which are too high, I've found about 5 planets in the Milky Way which are (probably, correct me if I'm wrong) habitable. If I understand correctly as ...

Oh an another question: when I edit the main thruster values, it seems to have no effect (?). Hover engines work, not sure about retrothrusters, corrective engines certainly work, but changes in thruster values seem to yield no results: the ships are almost always limited to 50m/s acceleration, whic...
